WOW....this is amazing....So many people on here are complacent with bad service, as long as the price is cheap.....Why not have both??

You offering to price match them?;)

I agree it's amazing... some people must be magnets for problems. I've had dozens of orders with LP and never once received the wrong item or a used item. And I don't know how they are on the phone because I've never called them. I found them online, not in the phone book.

So, I call them back today to make arrangements to send them back the computer and receive a message that states that they are closed due to "Pass-over" holiday and won't be open until April 11 at 9AM. IT'S APRIL 2ND!
That's right...!
What the (BLEEP)!!! All I can say is that I completely avoid doing business with them again...
Good plan. ;)
So, if paying more for better service is what this adds up to then that's what I'll do

I've had a similar experience with LP. I bought a BC from them that appeared to be used and was an outdated model when it arived. The picture of the BC on their site didn't look quite right, so I was a little worried to begin with. The salseperson assured me that it was just an old picture and I would it woulod be a new one. Well, it wasn't. It was a model that was about 7 years old that had been retrofitted with the current weight system. Just sent it back and I had my money back within a couple of days. I bought a buch of other equipment from them and it is all great. I guess sometimes they try to scam you, but when you call them on it they don't argue. OK you caught me seems to be their attitude.

I was really pissed off when I got my BC, but their prices are so low that I'll probably risk shopping with them in the future. I just won't hesitate to send anything back that is not exactly as it should be. It's like everyone seems to be saying. LP has great prices, but keep in mind who you're dealing with.
Yes, they sell outdated stock without notice. They don't get much of their good from manufacturers anyway.

What's LP's price for air? You guys better start buying your own compressors from LP because if you keep this up there won't be any local dive shops to fill tanks, or they will have to charge $15 for an 80cf fill to stay in business. Won't that be nice?

Welcome to SB. You'll see this ongoing debate here and there.

LP is not going to go away or fail - but rather serve as competition for the serious authorized shops. I just find better places to pay those prices.

yea...I am looking at compressors .

The lowest price on the internet almost always means trouble. I like to support my local dive shop where I receive great service and it's clear the business is appreciated.
When I need to shop elsewhere, ScubaToys has impressed me with their low prices, excellent service, and discounts for Scubaboard members. Rather than rolling the dice with Leisure Pro I go with the sure thing and never have any problems.

That's exactly right DandyDon....I do shop at ScubaToys.com. Best service, they price match and HAVE manufacturerer warranties. Thankfully I live in Texas and get whatever I order within about two days. I shopped LP because Scubatoys didn't have what I wanted in stock.

WOW....this is amazing....So many people on here are complacent with bad service, as long as the price is cheap.....Why not have both?? Just because the price is cheap doesnt mean they should try to rip you off by sending the wrong equipment, treat you as they do on the phone, or as has been said numerous times....try and rip you off. The funny thing is that they wont change how they treat you because it obviously doesnt matter....you will still give them your money!! I really dont understand that, when I spend money somewhere I want it to mean something to the person Im spending it with....if I dont feel that...they dont get my money....Im not trying in anyway to bash leisure pro, hell I applaud them.....somehow they are able to treat you guys horrible, yet you still go back for them to "sometimes try and scam you".......but save $20.......Maybe its just the customer service in me......but this sounds like a doctor suess poem...all mixed up

You save a hell of a lot more than 20 bucks, or I don't think anyone would buy a damned thing from them. If I add up the amount I've saved by purchasing gear from them, it comes to over $1000. I've only spent about $2000 and $1000 of it was at a LDS. So the struff I got at LP was pretty much half price. Is this kind of savings woth terrible service. Sadly, yes. When I but gear, if my LDS can come anywhere close to LP's price, I'll pay the extra price to give my money to someone who appreciates my business. I simple can't afford to pay double for the same product. If LDS is within 25-30% they get the sale. When LP does try to rip me off in the future, will I rant and rave about it? No. I know what I'm getting into. I'll just send the questionable item back, bow my head in shame, and go down to the LDS and do what I should have done to begin with. My lds is great, but I'm broke.

Yeah, they can't have it all. They did not stock the Oceanic fins I wanted, but got them for me - at LP prices.

I have run into an itme now and then that they don't carry.

if i were you i would call your cridet card company and tell them to hold payment untill its all sorted out.. because if you dont and say you end up geting nothing you cant claim it after a certain amount of time the only down side is you have to call them and tell them the transaction is now fine and to put it through.. the criedet card companys will hold onto there money like no tomorrow so they will not let it go through they will even charge back money as well if they need to correct something like this.. same goes with insurance caims once they are through and say your car still isnt fixed your up the creak with out a paddle unless you do it this way.. its just covering your self but misttakes happen and i bet they dont like bad publicity like this..
