Wow, 6 posts and *****in about leisure pro. I've never had a problem with them in 5 years, then again I never tried to deal with them over a holiday. Sounds like their version of spring break. They will take care of you when they get back. In the future deal with your in state dive supply company.

I like LP.

They just took back an item I bought 6 months ago and just found out it was an extra piece to my housing dome port.

I can deal with the holidays...look at the bright side, they are open Sundays?

Yes, passover is like spring break. You should probably get an award for that. Not a smart award mind you.

I have bought several items from them and have been very satisfied with them. I bought a wrist computer and when it arrived i decided i did not want it and i returned it for a different computer. Everything went smooth.

PB125:
I ordered two dive computers from Liesurepro by phone and when they arrived, I only got one instruction manual and one of the computers looked USED! There was a small crack in the housing or rubber around the face of the computer, there were small "dents" about the housing and dust in the lens face. So, I call them up and ask about the manual and "used" looking computer. I get a bit of attitude upon making a comment on sending me used equipment. He said he would exchange the computer if I purchased a new one and would reimburse me when he received the "used" one. No biggie, Right?
So, I call them back today to make arrangements to send them back the computer and receive a message that states that they are closed due to "Pass-over" holiday and won't be open until April 11 at 9AM. IT'S APRIL 2ND! What the (BLEEP)!!! All I can say is that I completely avoid doing business with them again...

I have bought several items from Leisure Pro without any problems. They offer a 60 day no questions asked return policy and 120 days for credit.

I just recently returned an item to them because the person I bought it for changed their mind.

Within a day or 2 of them receiving the returned merchandise the credit apeared on my credit card.

The customer service people are "very efficient" on the phone. After you explain why you want the RMA you will hear OK you will have the RMA in your email within 10 minutes bye.

As far as them being closed for the Passover holidays, it is mentioned prominently on their web site. I don't see any problem with that and I am not even Jewish.

In summary, other than a brusk "bedside manner" they are excellent to deal with. The airline industry could learn a lot from them.

I don't know why you did not take them up in the offer to cross ship you the replacement computer if you needed it that quickly.

You should also be aware that they do not ship on Fridays (mentioned under shipping policies on theur web site).

I suspect this is also for religious reasons.

Should have put a :D with that, it's like Easter, right?

as most of you, i've had good experience with LP and will buy from them in the future. however, one time XXX distributer talked me out of buying XXX reg from LP for reasons i did not fully understand (i'd rather not decipher XXX name here to avoid any conflicts). i wanted the warranty so i bought my reg from another e-store approved by XXX distributer for a very similar price.
it's always amusing to me when people get frustrated with customer service. in the USA it's traditionally very good although has declined over the past decade. coming from the place where "customer service" used to be non-existant, NYC stores are a paradise. we all like to take comfort and convenience for granted but again, you pay more for having the extra smile from a clerk.
with respect to passover, well, tough luck. for some people their religious beliefs / values are more important then few bucks they can make by working.
i hope everything will end up fine with the dive computer after the Passover.

i have purchased from them on 3 or 4 occasions and have always been happy. I placed my orders one day, and they ship the following day.

That is WAY more than i can say for scuba.com. i ordered comps from them and it was a day short of 2 weeks before they even shipped them out. on the other hand they do have excellent customer service and where very helpfull over the phone. so no major complaints for them.

I'd second that, not only Sundays but probably Christmas as well, when everybody else on the planet shuts down.

LP will buy used equipment from customers. You may have gotten a used model by mistake. As far as I know they aren't authorised dealers, meaning they warrenty what you buy not the manufactures. They are good about returns. I'm sure they will take of you after the holiday.
