It's only adjustable in one plane

There's a cold water (wide) and warm water (narrow) Goodman available for this light. I don't know which on you have but if its too wide I'd guess cold. EE has the other one which just screws onto the reflector head.

Cool, thanks. I will look into that, sounds like the solution though

Take the handle apart and insert it in an appropriate length of rubber hose. This should take some lateral space.

That is also a very good suggestion, thanks. Part of the problem is the handle is too wide, but the other part is that with bare hands or tropical gloves it's rather rigid; so when I am laying line or doing other work with my hands, it tends to slip as noted previously. So the rubber hose would add some 'give' which I think should help that

There's a bit of a learning curve to working a goodman handle. Take it diving a bit more and I think you'll come to like it quite a bit.

Ah yeah... right here in Shanghai apparently: ????

I'll need to get one of my staff to translate their website though!

Silly question about the Scout HP LEDs - what type and size of battery, alkaline Cs? Didn't come with a manual
. . .

It seems EE have a minimum international shipping cost of USD102 :( Makes the $20 slug protector a teeny bit expensive

Here's a shipping direct from Hong Kong (with special promotion of free shipping on orders over $250 USD):

Thanks Kev

I contacted wreckdiversupply.com, where I bought the light, and they confirmed that it is supplied with the cold water handle. I've ordered a warm water handle which they are sending to me FOC along with the field repair kit which was on backorder earlier

I'll try the warm water handle and also the hose mod that Belmont suggested, and see which one works best for me

I already have one on a DR umbilical torch, works fine. Having said that, I've never tried laying line with it - but it also fits properly

Update: the warm water handle arrived over Xmas. I've attached a photo of the two, it's going to make a big difference. I'm also going to try the hose solution belmont suggested and see which one works best for me
