What gear to you carry down?

Am I the only one who carries a buddy line on every dive?

Apparently. I have no use for them in my normal diving.
They have 1001 uses. You never know when you'll need to tow a panicked or tired diver.

My spool is pretty handy. I could probably accomplish much of the same things with it. But honestly, I've never run across a tired or panicked diver in a cave. Maybe one day I will.
I wasn't aware you dived caves exclusively. My mistake.

Less than 5% of my diving is OW these days.

Fins are already in boat, Voit UDT. The regulator is the Aqua Master--the name says it all. The knife is around there somewhere, it is a Seahawk and it is big, sharp and it is a weapon Jim Bowie would be proud off.
Boat---priceless.
Don't need no stink'n BC and Walter, I don't have a buddy line either cause I ain't got no stink'n buddy---lol.
Everything else is just extra.

I've dived off some private boats with no ladder and no platform. Diving w/o a buddy, I've used my buddy line to tie my gear to the cleat making it easier to board the boat. I have to admit, diving vintage is the one time I don't carry a buddy line.
There is a ladder and there is a platform, this is not a commerical cattle boat that lines up six abrest holding hands. I only need to get one out at a time. Vintage is over used, I am just diving, if it looks vintage oh well, I guess because that is the gear I prefer due to reliability and functionality.
