Don’t some mfgs make ‘foldable’ masks that you can carry almost anywhere secure and accessible?? Although I probably wouldn’t use it ( …as I am a ‘vintage’ diver, ) I have an MLW mask from the ‘50s that came with a pilot rescue pack. It folds flat, opens up up to a full size working dive mask that seals, and has equalizing pockets and can be easily purged…it could be tucked in a large BCD pocket or just under a wetsuit jacket. Look at dive shops for foldable masks…
Many frameless masks are semi-foldable. For instance, for rec diving, I keep an apeks VX1 in my right pocket in a 3" wide elastic sleeve that keeps it from taking up much space in the pocket, but still easily deployed if myself or someone else I'm diving with has a mask issue.

I carry with me a passionate sense of exploration and a strong desire to find things in common with others regardless of differences in our equipment configuration, skin color, political party, wallet size or faith.

I'm doing it right.

A M E N, to that my friend…. We all share this wild, wild world. Life…. and SCUBA is a ‘journey’ …enjoy the scenery along the way, and share with others. Merry Christmas and wishing joy for ALL holiday celebrations….

I’m unaware of them but I’m sure they’d exist and be a great option for those with minimal storage space.

I use a Halcyon H-View as my primary mask and a TUSA Freedom Elite as my backup, but I’d probably say that the TUSA is a bit on the large side.
Saving space is a ‘somewhat’ priority. Convenience, accessibility and being able to not lose your backup mask is a better option. You may not have to surface after a mask issue and enjoy the remainder of your dive. 🤿😎🐟

I always carry torch and an smb. I was lost off Bali in a drift dive, luckily it was only for 45 minutes but I had both with me after watching a video of the same thing happening to another diver. He only had an smb and was separated from the group and boat. He was lost well into the night and could hear the airplanes searching overhead. If he had his torch with him he could've lit up his smb and been easily spotted.

I consider at least one a torch an essential item, even if I never use it on the dive, there is one clipped off somewhere, more when required.
And not one of those cheap 'lights' I see some on some divers, bought from a cheap online store like Aliexpress etc, you know the type of light.
It would be scary bobbing along on the surface in the dark, no boat, no shore lights, alone and quiet.

Night dives one or both torches have a strobe function as well.
Same in the car and my fishing/dive boat.
Just had a look, the car has 3 waterproof torches, one with a strobe function, the boat has 2 of the same lights not counting what is required as safety gear here.

I digress, a TORCH, have one on every dive.

OK, I will stop beating my drum about torches.

I try to have 2 or 3. My main light and backups. Strobe feature is handy if in darkness.

Basic configuration for every dive of mine is:

Living on the harness of my BPW are a z type cutter on the left and a pair of EMT shears on the right waist. Left shoulder strap just above the Dring is a whistle and the right Dring has a small orcatorch. Both are tied off to not interfere or dangle.

Using tech shorts or a dry suit: Left pocket has a mask, wet notes and a Nautilus Lifeline, right pocket has DSMB and a reel.

Then I add on whatever else I may need for the type of diving or task at hand.
