The house my useless non working ex lives in (that I pay for) with the boyfriend she was seeing BEFORE we split up!

OUCH!! That hurts. If I ever feel the need to get married, I think I'll just buy a house for a woman I don't like & get on with my life.

The only thing I regret buying is the UW mp3. Sure it distracts me from the fish I paid lots of money to come see, But that's not even the bad part. I don't listen to music anywhere else, so why did I think I'd want it while diving? Even in the car it's either news, talk radio, or the radio is off.
I think I need a support group for recovering gadget hounds.

Looking at the ammount of money I have spent and am planning to spend on this whole SCUBA buisness, some people might say the stupidest "purchase" I ever made was my OW class that pushed me into this thing..Im not quite convinced Ill want to agree with those people tho, although Im starting to see quite high figures on my bank statements that have gone into diving :p

my hood. apparently, it makes me go claustrophobic and the warm water in PI doesn't really require you to wear one... hell, people dive nekkid here.

When you find one let me know, my husband definitely needs a 12 step program for this addiction as well!:D

I see a lot of regrets for getting retractors for consoles, etc.

I am a newb that got a console computer/spg/compass and would like to know your preferred way of attaching the console to your BC so it doesn't dangle. Are there bungees that can be configured to do the trick? Also - I received as a gift a UK SL6 light - what's the best configuration for attaching that to my BC?

I only regret two purchases...

1. Anything that I'd like to get rid of, but cannot sell, either because it's just to junky, or no-one really wants it, or it's just too heavy to bother trying to sell and ship.

2. Anything I paid a lot of money for "back when" and would now like to sell, but the new stuff is so cheap that I simply cannot afford to sell the gear (like STA or some expensive wings or even my twin 104's). I hate it when you spend 1400 and now stores are selling the stuff for under 1000.

I hate that I bought a SeaQuest BC with and Air2 (?) anf then sold that for a Dive Rite TransPac...(Happy on the Dive Rite)...
I hate it that I learned to dive in a single tank and not twins and bought single 102HP steels (I love my twins)
I hate that I bought those BIG, DUMB, STUPID (handheld whatevers) lights and just didn't jump to a cannister light by Dive Rite or Salvo...hey anyone wanna buy a big coffee can light by Dive Rite....great ditchable weight.....???
My .02 cents is...don't listen to your LDS on whatcha gotta buy...think about where you might be diving (training, location) in the next year and buy the best you can afford so you don't BUY STUPID STUFF!!!! like those dumb retractors and crap!!!

Quite frankly, I am not sure that there is much of anything that I've bought that I really regret. I must say though that the jury is still out on the ScubaPro SuperHawk NT that I bought in 2000 just before I stopped diving in 2007. Previous BCD was a ScubaPro Classic - non-weight integrated which I love and still own. I just wish it had those big D rings that the new Classics have.

I am diving with the SuperHawk and having trim problems. Diving friends, when I ****** about it, swear I am going to love it when diving doubles!

I am only 3 dives back since hiatus, so I am reserving judgement! I think I will have to dive nitrox doubles on a deep dive for final judgement!:D
