I've been using cheap Casio's for the past quarter century. Their biggest "expense" was in battery replacement, and the only time that any of them ever flooded was when I had a local jeweler replace the battery instead of a Casio Service Center.

To skip the batteries, I'm now using a $30 Solar Casio from Walmart. Its an analog dial, which I prefer.

And I do have to say that its either pretty snazzy looking, or I met a pretty ignorrant watch collector on Little Cayman 3 years ago: we were at PP having Thanksgiving dinner and the gentleman escorting a well-known local fine lady complimented me on the watch, started talking about how he had a fine collection, etc. I tried to be polite and brush it off, but he persisted, so I did finally tell him that it was a 'cheap Casio'. In hindsight, I should have first asked what he was willing to trade for it! :)

Oris TT1 Regulator... quality dive watch for a good price...

The picture is not mine... originaly from Cones Stuff

Quite accurate for a mechanical watch... loses about 3 secs a day. Has been on my wrist for more then a year and on nearly every dive.

I have been wearing a faithful Seiko Sports (water resistant to 150 meters) for the past 10 years and decided not too long ago to treat myself to a nice piece of timekeeping. Looked at various models including Omega Seamaster, Tag Heuer Professional (and their new Aquagraph 2000...) and finally settled on a Breitling Super Ocean. Nice craftsmanship, great looking blue dial, helium valve, water resistant to 5000ft... Will I take it down? My Seiko will probably still see more bottom time than my new acquisition. But boy, does it look great!!!

Cheers!

I also have a Seiko Sport (the 150m) which I got in 1985 as an anniversary present. It was joined this year by an Invicta Pro Diver. The Seiko was rock-solid and was +/- 1 second (or better) over the course of a year according to my NISE clock. The Invicta looks slightly better, and is a non-quartz, so it is not quite as accurate, but still looks and dives great.

Well I kinda like dive watches so, I have a SS TAG pro diver model. I have a SEIKO two-tone divers 200 and the wear every dive and it get beat up, takes a licking and still keeps on ticking my FREESTYLE Hammerhead 200M.
