What you find better. Also what products did you have if you don't mind me asking.
Wish I could help with dive specific products, but I’m new to it. Was just commenting at a higher level on the general quality. I’ve had suunto heart rate monitors, and have had two Garmin smart watches that I’ve worn daily. My next purchase will be a Garmin descent of some sort, need to figure out the exact model that I want. I’m personally leaning towards Garmin over suunto for a dive watch because I’m comfortable with the Garmin ecosystem, and I love Garmin as an everyday watch for my active life.

If you don't need air integration, the Garmin fenix 8 is an incredible fitness watch with recreational dive capabilities. I just got one a couple of weeks ago and absolutely love it, plus it's cheaper than many of their other dive watches. On the every day fitness side of things it's incredible. I had used several Samsung Galaxy watches and while I liked them, this is a far better watch.

I have the Descent G1 Solar, very happy with it for diving and all the other uses. I also have Shearwater Perdix and they are both great.

Been running my Garmin Decent G1 (regular not solar) a little over a year. I upgraded from a Garmin Forerunner 245m to have 2-n-1 functionality. Does everything my Forerunner did and I'll never forget my dive computer. It compares favorably to my wife's new Peregrine. Battery life is great, compared to an apple watch its phenomenal and the Solar version should be better still. We just did a week of light (8~9 dives) in central Florida and could have gotten away without charging it once. Its depth, temp & compass are so good I'm ditching my guage console for just it and an SPG and saving myself the bulk.
