Hi, I am currently considering purchasing a Draeger Dolphine Rebreather. Are there any Dolphine users who dive in NorCal?

Just wondering how different a surf entry/exit will be like with the Dolphine as opposed to twin-95s...

I too agree ,the two parts of the state could not be more different( Ive always liked the idea of spliiting in two)diving wise and others as well. S.F and L.A are like two different planets!!!

The name has got to go...sorry Ken;-0

Lenny, you probably should have started a
new thread for this question.

I dive a Draeger Dolphin in Monterey on
a regular basis. Any Water Sports in San
Jose has sold more than the other dealers
that I know of (Manta Ray in Monterey and
Marin Skin Diving). Get Phil Sammet out
of AWS for an instructor.

It will be much easier getting in and out
than double 95s as it's a lot lighter, though
still heavier than a single.

The package comes with one tank. You'll
need at least two (I have four).

What do you expect to get from a Dolphin?

You don't want to dive a rebreather unless
you have a really good reason (mine is
photography). They are a bunch more
work, and the Dolphin introduces four
new ways to kill yourself. (Five on a
CCR).

Given that the poll is running 21:1 in favor
pf two separate forums, why debate a name
for the combined forum?

Because that's the question on the table. With all due respect, re-splitting the threads isn't currently an option.

If you have a name to contribute, we can use some help!

Thanks -

Ken
