The highest surge was 3.2'. it was interesting to watch on the web cam how the tide went in and out. The water will be a bit murky for the next few days, Tiger Shark heaven I guess.

Yeah, I was checking it out from Tantalus and the only change was that the water got flatter. Any word on damage to the Big Island??

The tsunami warning came in the morning of the first day we were in Kona....couldn't believe my eyes and ears when I turned on the TV news that morning. Fortunately it was a non-event just about everywhere in the islands. We were out diving at Kohala the next day.
Here's how the FOKD (Friends of Kaimana Divers) Club spent our rainy day in Kona.....
