You absolutely must carry on all your dive gear because it's very delicate and will likely get stolen from baggage and then resold on the lucrative second-hand SCUBA gear market.

TSA will likely go into conniption fits when they see it, though. You will be strip searched, and if you play your cards right, maybe even probed. (skip the "snorkel method", just sayin')

Apparently they don't care about guns in your carry-on according to the latest news, so that's even a better bet.

I vote we make this TSA/SCUBA & Gear topic a forum sticky. It might already be, I dint look.
