To Diaphragm -OR- To Piston... that is the newbie question for a regulator

hmmm.... so basically it doesn't really matter, for recreational diving, whether your
reg is piston or diaphragm, so long as it's a quality reg?
 
Thanks for the information.

One thing the diaphragm peopl claim is that it is a much simplier design. That if you drop the piston.. you've bought another.

They also say they are very difficult to clean when refurbishing.

On the spot repairs for diaphragm is easier and possible (aqualung dealer)
