I got the same type of non-helpful reply from Deep 6. This was after I had looked into ordering some custom length springs from McMaster-Carr, and those were about $250 each. It is possible to buy the tools to make your own double-loop Stainless Steel springs, but the cost for tools alone is about $90. The spring raw material comes in 20 inch lengths and is about $20 each. Damn they have nice foot pockets though, they float without the straps but have these foot-crushers with them. I know I want a 13 1/2" or 14" (end to end length) spring, the Eddies come with an 11 1/2" for the Extra-large size. Hollis unfortunately sells the ankle pad too, and does not give a useful length in the product description. Tecline sells the springs by themselves evidently, but ordering from Europe would be shooting in the dark.
