I'd also look at felt that would be used for waders as well. Personally I find the felt to stick better on slim coated rocks that metal studs. Contact cement and felt is on. The felt won't rub a hole in your fins either.

Excellent idea!!! I just checked Cabela's site and they even have studded replacement felt soles for waders [search keyword felt] that you can glue on.
