I have the tank. It looks to be about 24 1/2 in length (measured 24 3/4 from the floor to the top of the neck boss, but it has a boot on it since the bottom is rounded, so the bottom of the tank looks to be 1/4 inch off the floor), and 8" dia (measured circumference, divided by pi). Looking at a chart I found here - Scuba Cylinder Specification Chart from Huron Scuba, Ann Arbor Michigan - I'm guessing it is a PST 95 or and OMS 98.

Any other opinions are welcome.

It had no hydros stamped between 99 and 2013, so it may have been sitting around a while. It bears a current VIP from a shop in Nevada, where the previous owner resides.

That nearly 6lb empty weight difference should be your dead giveaway between the two

Also a good chance that it is a Coyne LP95. Does it happen to have a 'C' inside a diamond as one of its markings?

There appears to be that mark very faintly at the end on the serial number. The bottom half is struck lighter than the top. Have not heard of Coyne before. I'll try to google more info on them.

I thought I might have the same tank(s), but measuring my circumference, I have 23" which comes out roughly to 7.32" diameter.

It looks to me they are of the same manufacturer though and I have some of the identical markings as well as the color on one of my tanks. Actually mine have 10 A 95+ while yours is 10 A 94+

I got them for 180 for the pair and they were within a couple of months of needing hydro and needed a vis so I just did them both right after I got them.

Sounds like a great deal.

I was under the impression that the diamond symbol after the serial number was PST's symbol.

I have a Coyne (Dolphin) LP80. Here's a chart of the Coyne cylinder specs that I found when I was researching mine: untitled

Well I don't know where I got the idea that the diamond symbol was PST, but according to this doc, http://www.hydro-test.com/files/RESindustrydocs/Cylinder-Manufacturers-Symbols.pdf
I agree that they are Coyne. Now as far as the distributor as Dolphin, if that is Buy Scuba Diving Gear Online | Snorkeling Equipment | Dive Gear Shop | Dolphin Scuba Center , that makes even more sense.

I don't know, Hoaty, that tank is pretty old. . . .. they go bad, you know.

However, I could use a 300m target, so I'll give you a $100 to ship it to me! :D

Is there a "stick your tongue out" smiley?

Not only no, but hell no.

When it fails hydro, that will be another story.

For the serious folks, I will try to get a photo that shows the mark. When I tried moments ago, the flash overwhelmed. Maybe in daylight.....
