i purchased a slate to use while diving and i was trying it out, but i can not seem to be able to wash the writing off. Has anyone experianced this before?
thanks,
Drew

Yeah, they're kind of tricky. The answer somebody told me was toothpaste. ;-) Or Comet.

thanks, but what if i am doing multiple dives in one day? im guessing i have to limit my tic-tac-toe games during my si.

Lots' of ideas in the DIY forum. From what I remember none were very convenient. This may be the attraction of wet-notes.

Ha ha, yup! I just leave mine till it is completely covered on both sides, and then wash it.

can you reuse the wet note pages or are they convenient because there are a lot of pages?

I found that the pink eraser works well, and a softer pencil for writing.

Lots of pages, tear off and discard, responsibly of course.

Old fashioned school eraser - the rectangular, pinkish kind with the angled ends - works fine.

I use the DR executive slate since it has multiple pages- I guess it's the low tech version of wet notes.

As far as cleaning the slate, sand works and is sometimes convenient! I'll also use the leftover baking soda that I use to keep the freezer fresh. As a last resort, I'll use the soft scrub/comet stuff.
