I'm sure you're right. Originally I believe the asking price was $225/piece though. I think the trick is to wait for the right deal (and maybe be in the right area

Haha no kidding, I'm itching to just offer him $350 for both and see if it works. That being said, I've only been on the lookout for a few days

I took my time looking and had to drive 2 hours 1 way to pick them up, so maybe it's worth it to pay more if it's close. I'd offer $350 and go from there. That's what CL is all about.
I actually just picked up a pair of steel hp80 for $125 for both....how could I pass that up, lol. Not in hydro though. She even through in a bag and a bunch of other stuff....some people are just done with diving, or better yet, done diving locally

The valves are hard to find if you need to replace and the price is not that good.

How often do scuba valves go bad? Honestly curious.

Mine are bad due to an accident. They do go bad but not frequently so it's good to know that replacements are easy to find.
Baring an accident (which could happen to any of our gear), couldn't a "bad" valve just be rebuilt?
Agreed if the valve is hard to find might be worth moving on. I have not looked into where to find 7/8 valves. Mine are all 3/4 (I think, lol)

I would not get those, the neck sizing is obsolete. At least not at that price. I would get ones with a standard neck size.
