I think this is what came with my Nova / plastic zipper:

But... it might have come with my Yeti cooler (also uses a waterproof zipper). I'm not sure if I should use it as it says Silicone free--thinking I might have confused the two and can't find any other zipper lube.

What should I get, and where would I find it? I searched amazon for TiZip, but nothing came up.

What do you mean by the "docking end"? The part that moves?

Silicone-free is good in this case. Even if it came with your Yeti, that looks like perfectly good lube for your drysuit zipper.

I didn't get that in my goodie bag, but I use this that I had laying around. Works on everything... even spark plugs.

Lubricating the docking end makes sense, but I just looked at my Nova's instructions, and this could be for a metal zip, but:

When dry Lubricate the zip or zips, any remaining Dirt and Debris must be removed first. The out side of the zip teeth should be rubbed down with the wax provided with the suit. The inside zip elements (where the seal is formed) should be lubricated with the special fluid.
Apply the correct lubricant, open and close the zipper twice, then store the suit with the zipper open if stored in a bag or closed if hung using an appropriated coat hanger.
And now I'm even more confused. "the special fluid"

Anyone had problems with the KUBI dry gloves in customs? My suit is delayed in customs right now. Working on getting it cleared but they said they may need a toxic substances form because of the Kubi gloves?

It's probably the talc bottle they send with the suit. I've heard a few that got tagged for that but that is the exception. Nothing about kubi rings could be considered toxic. They're just aluminum and rubber...

Not sure what fluid, but most of that is specifically for the metal zipper. With my metal zipper I waxed before or after every dive.

There's a nice zipper cleaner that has a brush, but I've never really noticed my zipper to be especially dirty.

I *might* wax my brass zip every 4-5 dives... depends on if the wax is flaking off from the cold or not.

That's about how I used to do it, but as my used / old suit got older and the zipper started to frey I would lube it every time. Just trying to prolong the inevitable.

With the SS / plastic zip I lube very rarely.

Just received my date for completion. 2/16/24. I guess I have to use my 7m wetsuit this weekend.
You could always do it in less? Would make you appreciate the SS all that much more!

I hear ice baths are the new rage anyway?
