I knew VDH made orifices for the 109/BA/G250, but I did not know they were stainless steel. If they are indeed stainless, even if they were to corrode, performing Matt Magic/Dr. Singler treatment should solve the issue for a few years until needed again.
These: Store | Vintage Double Hose

Thanks Angelo. I have a few of those, but thought they were (are) chrome plated brass.
The web site is not clear on the material used.
Comparing these VDH orifices with the original ones they are much less shining, so they do not appear to be chrome-plated. Hence I assumed they were made of stainless steel.
But at this point I am not sure...
I will ask Brian
at VDH.

Here a photo of three orifices: SP Gold, SP Chrome and VDH (left to right):

All three have already been used for some time...

Can someone actually show these are/were gold? The corrosion they have had on ones I've had make it hard to believe they are of that material...

SP also made them in SS. I have gotten them in the past.
I believe the G260 comes with a SS orifice and it should be compatible with the other in-line systems.

gold shouldn’t corrode, ever, but it’s very soft and once scratched the underlying material will. My guess these “gold” ones are actually some other material like zirconium...
