moonlighting:
Ishhyyy... tell me, struggle ba mag-dive sa Galera? MAnageable ba for little pink girls like us?

if poseidon is on your side then he can easily make the currents in canyons seem like your bathtub drain but if not, it can turn bad and turn ino a a ripping current that has a mind of his own. the first time i was there me and my group were swept 3km offshore by the current.

Moonie, better to practice ur finning and buoyancy so you'd be prepared and you'll enjoy ur dive. But I think you can already dive Galera. My friend Bruce did it, he has improved quite a bit, and had no problems.

Dont try Canyons, Washing Machine and the Fish Bowl though. Those are exag dives hehe. Im actually preparing for it now, need more practice. :)

wow... so who's diving galera (the tame side of it) soon? let me join... i've conquered mount makiling, i want to conquer galera too.

ishbaby:
im bringing my snorkle bag with me, fins, mask, booties, snorkle, (in case i wanna snorkle lang) gloves and wetsuit. all else rent! Im following ur footsteps Iris . . . seems like it's just gonna be me!! Hopefully I get a good deal . . . grabe bigat ng dala ko nito lol.

I don't understand why anyone would need gloves at Puert Galera, the water temperature doesn't get that low!
In fact any good dive guide should not allow gloves to be worn on a reef. Any good marine reserve should ban them anyway.
As a responsible diver you are not going to touch anything so gloves are not necessary.

Is PG that challenging of a dive? The dives I thought were difficult were at Verde dropoff due to the surge, current, and that wonderful viz (made it difficult to gauge depth unless you're really paying attention). Went on deco unintentionally on the second dive on that one. It was a great dive but wasn't too happy about my lapse in judgment on the second dive.
