How is the price of 350 $ plus shipping.. Is this low.. or High... for a fair market price..???
Typical where I have seen them, but that is only if you can find them! I read a thread on rumors the other day, but I dont believe that the prices are going to drop, nor that the current supply shortage will magically right itself.

I see Diverite Express advertising an E7-100 for $336. + shipping. I have also seen a couple more online outlets asking $336. So I guess $350 +shipping isn't such a hot deal unless the difference is in the shipping cost.

I e-mailed PST and asked them directly what the situation was on the delay of shipment on their tanks. They responded within 24 hours with the following response:

"We will be starting to ship and fill our backorders on our E7-100 tanks next week.
However our backorders go out till the End of February right now and depending what a retailer has on order with us will depend on when they will get tanks. Right now for a new order it is the End of February but we will be shipping E7-100 along with our other tanks through January and February. The Delays came from the fact that we were impacted by the steel shortage over the Summer months and we just got our 1st steel shipment a few weeks ago. We have allot of tanks going through production currently but we have alot of backorder to get caught up on. Hope this answers your questions if you have any others let me know.

Thanks for your patience."

I ordered a second E7-100 from my LDS.

Oh, that must be the batch that was supposed to ship on 12/3, then 12/10, then the next week, maybe today or tomorrow, now next week.

Don't hold your breath :)

LOL Mark You're almost right. It's my July ordered tank tha'll show up in March.

You know you never, ever, hold your breath....

This Saturday, about three in the afternoon. Went to ScubaToys. Looked around and decided the only thing I needed was some spring straps for my fins. Yay, I'm getting out for $50.

Me: So, I guess it's going to be a long time before you get any PST tanks?

Larry: Actually we got some yesterday.... [waves toward non-descript pile of corugated cardboard boxes.]

Me: Surely there weren't any 100's?

Larry: Yes, we got six, but two are already sold. [Quickly unpacks an E7-100 revealing the tantilizing soft glow of the hot galvanized surface and the beautiful PST sticker.]

Me: [Contemplates balance on credit card...] Uh, OK I'll take one. Fill it up.

Me: [Leaves ScubaToys, now $400 poorer. Drive home. Show wife new tank.]

Wife: Cool, why didn't you get me one too?

Me: I thought we could share.... It was kind of expensive.

Wife: No, I want one too.

Me and Wife: [drive back to ScubaToys and buy another E7-100. Live happily ever after.]

luckily my local dive shop got my e7's in over the weekend or i would be very jealous...
