Does anyone here know what company makes masks for nearsighted divers to general specifications (i.e. low, medium and severe prescription)? I was at a Sports Authority in Clearwater, FL a few months ago and found a mask there that was perfect for me - severe shortsighted correction. I tried it out and it worked wonderfully. I thought it was made by Bodyglove, but I've searched their website and can't find any trace of it. Sports Authority doesn't list it either. Any suggestions?

What I and most people do is simply buy a mask with lenses that can be interchanged with prescription ones. Any decent dive shop should carry a few models. You just give them your prescription, and they either send for the lenses or ship the mask out for fitting. I think I spent about thirty bucks a lens, and I'm near blind. I have two such masks and will soon be getting a third. Both of mine are TUSA Liberator Plus models.

This method allows you to fit yourself to a good mask first, and deal with the eyesight problem secondarily. A crappy fitting mask does no one any good.

actually, i found the body glove mask today at a store in manhattan. I knew they made those! i just wonder why they're not on body glove's website...
