i have the same issues with unable to see things at close up (e.g. dive watch). i'm looking for a transparent glue that able to permanently stick "plastic to glass" or "glass to glass" ensuring the glue is completely see through when cured/dried up. Was wondering if Loctite Glass Glue able to perform such task.

Check with a professional dive store as those chemicals can discolor over time and actually make things worse. An optometrist knows which glue to use.
