This discussion will never stop. I use a piston. But what difference does it make? It is same as having an inline 6 cylinder engine or a v6 :)

Aside from performance issues like torgue, horsepower, vibration and packaging. All the unnecessary hardware and energy in a lot of V6s for counter balance shafts just to dampen vibration...
