That was a nice cold cerveza con lemon around 4-5 ish to the couple with the "OSU" shirts on the 9th! I will not be wearing my "ILLINI" shirt. Just finished packing the most important bag - the dive gear (45 lbs).

Welcome home to the November group from Coz. We are leaving in 48hrs - can't wait.
Our first trip to the island and have a couple of questions for those who have returned
1. Is a rental car really needed ? It would be the first island adventure w/o one. Will foot and taxi work, If not what was a good rate and who to book it with.
2. What are the resonable places to eat ( less than $ 20 us) local fare seafood would be a plus. Our first trip abroad w/o a kitchen. Not looking for huge meals just simple but tasty, within a short distance between the ferry pier and sedina in the centro area. Maybe someone can start a new thread on places to eat in Coz.
Got food one the brain with the smell of turkey here. Thanks -happy thanksgiving to all

Plenty of options for inexpensive/tasty meals downtown, either within walking distance from the pier or a short cab ride away.

For seafood, try Pescaderia San Carlos on Avenida 50 Bis, off Calle Rosado Salas (25 blocks from the ocean, take a cab). Lunch time only, great ultra fresh grilled fish, as well as conch ceviche and other goodies.

Many of the tastiest local places (Los Otates, Los Tres Gatitos…) won't even cost you US$ 10 per person.

Do yourselves a favor and haver dinner once at Kinta's. It's more expensive but well worth it : fusion Mexican cuisine that you won't find anywhere else.

Haven't rented a car since I stayed downtown (don't know where Sedina is, so can't tell you if you'll need a means of transportation).
You will need a car to tour the island at least one day (cabs are expensive once you go beyond town limits). Many people here recommand Rentadora Isis (do a search on the forum).

Had a fantastic week at Blue Angel! Weather cooperated very nicely, and I managed NOT to drown my camera this time.

Will post some pictures later this week as I work/edit my way thru my post-holiday depression.

On my way down but as usual, missed a connecting flight and now they are routing me thru Cancun and we'll have to ferry it over to Coz from Playa, again. That's two times in a row!!!! !#$%=&*():; Oh well, it'll be 70 something when I get there.
