Great report and congrats on the milestones! Going to stir up the pot and make an assumption you’re diving a jacket BCD. You still have a month to try a proper BP/W in a pool before that trip and change your life. Imagine rarely needing to adjust air cell and being perfectly trimmed at all times. The same kit Rodrigo was diving for example. That will help anyones gas problem immensely. Rodrigo is always a pleasure to dive with! I once joked about needing a jacket in Cozumel and have since worn the Aldora jacket on more than one occasion. Enjoy the liveaboard!

I am diving in a jacket BCD. I have a Scuba pro Lady Bella. I appreciate the advice. However, I do best with what I am familiar, and switching to a wing without getting used to it before going to Raja is a recipe for disaster for me. I have 206 dives, but I dive best when I have confidence. I've dove in this BCD since I started other than when I dove in Bali. I'm totally comfortable in it, and totally confident in it. I switched fins on Rodrigo' s advice and it took me this whole trip to get used to them. (I went from positive buoyancy Scuba pro Novas to RK3 HDs, which are negative buoyancy.

So a switch may be in order, but that would be after Raja before I go to Dahab
in August. I'm going with my local dive shop, so it should be awesome.

RK3s was my next suggestion but I didn’t want to push the envelope :). Understand the comfort aspect for sure. I obviously dive a backplate and RK3s. Try somebody's BP/W out on that trip in an easy atmosphere and report back!
