Hello everyone, I’m not a diver and don’t have plans to be one in the near future, but found something when cleaning out my wife’s grandmothers house that I thought this forum would be interested in seeing, after reading a few of the threads, such as:

Churchill Fins

I found a vintage pair of Voit fins in their box, see pictures:

Vintage Voit Fins

From reading the threads the fins are Owen Churchill design, sold by Voit, Los Angeles.

Bottom of fin reads:

Fin End:
Voit
Custom Built
Swim-Fins
REG. U.S. PAT. OFF.
U.S.PAT.NO.0-124.013
Reissue
23,006
2,099.973
2,321,009
Owen Churchill
Los Angeles

Heal End:
Medium
Right Foot (the other fin says Left)
Top

From the other threads looks like they fall into the 1950’s but I did not see exactly when Voit started to sell Churchill fins.

My wife’s grandfather was in the Navy (during WWII) and they were most likely his from back in the day…

Enjoy…

Nice find. I like to collect fins and still kick myself for passing over a pair of those at a flea market with a broken heel strap (which I could have fixed) before I knew what they were. $2 :(
