Hi, my name is Bill ( dead dog ) and I live in Orange County. I started diving in 1959.
The first 10 years I had my equipment serviced at the Aquatic Center in Newport Beach by Omar.
Then I met a really sharp man in Santa Ana who then did all of my service work on my scuba equipment. Well he retired three years ago and moved to Montana, I'll miss him. So I started looking for someone new to service my gear. It seemed each time I went into a new dive shop most of them had no idea of what I wanted. One shop had a 13 or 14 year old kid working behind the counter filling tanks. I know most if not all shops send their work out to a private party to do their work. Then the next time I went into one of these shops they had a new owner and a new crew working.
If any one here in O.C. that knows a good tech-service, please let me ( you can PM if you want ) and others who they are.
I guess I only have about 20 + years of diving left to do and don't want to wait for my scuba gear to get serviced by someone I don't know. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Bill

Pacific Wilderness in orange.....ask or your equipment to be serviced by rodger or fred......Top knotch! You can look the guy in the face that services your gear, and I too feel better about it.

I am not much help with the specifics but this last Scuba Show in Long Beach, there was an outfit in the Bay Area that specializes in servicing regs, old and new. They had some regs on this play that looked like were used in Sea Hunt.

Glynn who owns Malibu Dive Repair and services regulators for many of the dive shops around the LA area (and other parts of the US and world), and probably personally services more regulators than just about anyone else on the planet. Top notch work, fair prices and fast turnaround, and he will do it right. You can either mail gear to him, drop it off at one of the shops he services (listed on his web site), or meet him and drop it off at his shop / house. Everything is thoroughly disassembled, cleaned, inspected, all manufacturer recommended parts are replaced, thoroughly tested, and you get a complete before and after report along with your old parts.
