Frustrating, isn't it?

Yes, I forgot it was blocked. No worries, an easy search. Just put the http.www. whatever in front of this:

amazon.com/Oceanic-Diaphragm-Cover-Second-Stage/dp/B07LBHGL56

Just get a couple of these to put on your first stage and you’ll never have to worry about it again.

The oceanic alpha purge coves are readily available. Just search for "oceanic alpha 8 purge covers"
I though they went away when Huish took over but it doesn’t matter since I’ll never need one.

Nah, I would step up the game and go with these, glass fiber reinforced, hard covers, may last longer than the next ice age, or the previous one, oh and a Mark 2 Evo:

Even the early Atomic T1/B1/Z1 purge covers had this problem and Atomic redesigned them for the T2 and following. I love the old T1X covers though and have a few spares. True, on some regs mentioned above they'll last forever, but in any reg there are always some parts that wear out, so the key is parts availabilty.

When are they going to make a titanium MK2 evo
and an all titanium second stage case and all?
That might turn my head.
Right now I’m kind of pissed and on a bummer about 109’s, that damn rubber diaphragm cover!
I know there are places to get them and all but the design, I don’t know, just rubs me the wrong way a little. Why need two components? I’m a minimalist and to me the most basic designs always win.
My newest darling is the historic and proven Aqualung 1085 all-metal 2nd stage, first introduced in the 1960’s. Some things are so good there’s no reason to improve them.
I need more of them. I like the push-on T’s. I want a few with the access plug at the other end. They still make 1085’s all metal 2nds brand new you know…

There's a regulator technician who sells serviced regulators on Ebay (and lots of other stuff). I've purchased several first and second stasges over the years for about $40 each, and occasionally sent him a reg for service. At that price there's almost no reason to mess around with old questionable gear that will cost more to service it. If you really wanted to fix the one you have, he'd be someone to speak to about it, you can use the Ebay messaging system just randomly pick one of his listings and contact him.

Edited to add: Since I've moved to Europe I haven't ordered from him in quite a while, he's currently got about 150 Ebay listings but only a handful of regulators, he used to have a lot more. Anyway he could always service the ones you have for about $40 and I think no charge on return shipping.
