Recenly purchased a N2ition Wrist Comp., seems very simple to use (though the directions with it leave much to be desired) I was able to download a owners manual from the Zeagle website. Anyhow, I have a few questions:

I see it has a PC mode and talks about downloading to ones divelog prior to changing the battery as you will lose all information. I do not see anywhere to link the computer to my PC for a download, is this an option and if so do you also need software and drivers or are they available somewhere online.

Also, while doing some drills we surfaced for a few minutes to discuss a few things, after our dive, we noticed the dive was broken down in to two dives. I wasnt aware of how long we were surfaced is this normal? I do not typically surface like this but as I stated were were working on a few things and were only in 20ft of water.

Definitly seems like a great entry level computer and very easy to use for the most part.

Thanks

I think they tell you to backup the logs as a safety factor. I've changed the batteries a number of times and never lost my logs (it may require a quick change out...I'm not certain).

You have to buy a very expensive over-priced cable to connect it to the computer.

If the computer detects air, the dive is over. It may register an ended dive very close to the surface (2 feet or something)...I can't remember for certain.

Thanks for the speedy response...

On top of that, there are no and will be no drivers or software for Windows 7. This is a Seiko computer (it has a half dozen sister versions, i.e. Nitek Duo, TUSA IQ-700) and Seiko has refused to update it's software or release the protocols or source to the vendors. Dive Rite became so frustrated with Seiko that they mentioned here they are giving up and their next computers will not be Seiko based.
