There were several cases where I felt that my actions were reflecting badly on the board, its owners, and the other moderators. In some cases they had to moderate me or jump in to save me from situations I had gotten myself into. I did not feel that was right.

I think it's better for all this way.

It takes a strong character to admit to flaws that may not be apparent to outside observers. I think you made a good choice and I echo the sentiment that you have a lot to contribute to the board.
