You're correct. I did not mean to imply that you were in any immediate danger of being banned.

As for me, its basically a combination of both things you mentioned. I was not comfortable doing it because I know my demeaner is not fit for it. Its difficult to criticize or punish someone for doing something that I have also done. Its also difficult to criticize or punish when I agree with the sentiment being expressed. Finally, its difficult to not do something when I have strong issues with the content or direction of a thread or post.

There were several cases where I felt that my actions were reflecting badly on the board, its owners, and the other moderators. In some cases they had to moderate me or jump in to save me from situations I had gotten myself into. I did not feel that was right.

I think it's better for all this way.
