I plan on scootering around the group, assuming we get into the water at around the same time and doing video of everyone in and out of the water and if we go to dinner afterwards, I can project the video clips I took on the wall.

It's beginning to look a little iffy for me now. I'd forgotten that we are having out of town guests that weekend. I may still be able to get away for the morning without causing trouble, but it'll be tricky. I'm working on it.

Wow! you guys sure make this Pt. Lobos trip very tempting...but I'm going to resist and not drive up to Carmel and stay in school. :no But the only way I'll go is if DocWong or dannobee can take me to the Needle/Half Dome (just about 150ft outside of the Pt. Lobos bountry) Then I'll come along. Thats my favorite site and I really miss it alot.

.... Formalizing Plans ....

Okay everyone. Doc Wong and I have been in communication and have devised a loose plan for the October 7th Point Lobos get-together. As with the last one, you are welcome to come and go as you wish, but if you want to join in the fun and games, here’s the rough schedule:

Point Lobos opens at 9 AM. So, we were thinking of being there around opening time. First dive around 10:30 AM as a group (whoever wants to go out). Doc Wong suggested the site “Hole in the Wall” – which, not knowing any better, sounds good to me! Doc Wong will shepard us out to the site and will be making a video as well. Huzzah! Everyone will be able to see how completely awe-some (!!) they look underwater.

During the surface interval, we can have a potluck lunch. So everyone (who wants to) can bring something to share with the rest of the group. If you want to do the potluck thing, please give us an idea of what you are planning on bringing (or avoid a “traffic jam” of cookies, etc).

The second dive will be at your leisure – you and your buddy. There will be no formal arrangement although people are, as always, able to whatever-the-heck-they-want-to!

Doc Wong is going to try and find a restaurant for dinner that evening where he can show his masterpiece video of us diving. Please let us know if you are going to come to dinner as we will more than likely need to have a reservation count.

Again, this is all “whatever you want to do”. I just ask that, if you are going to participate in the “group activities” that you let us know in advance so that we can plan appropriately.

Any ideas, suggestions, comments, etc.!?! Please feel free to post. I am just the messenger.

Why did you have to make this a Sunday, why not Saturday? Don't you like the planet Saturn, its what Saturday was name after for... Now I'll never get to meet my other Scubaboard counter part...

Sunday was the only day during that weekend that we could do Pt. Lobos. Next event we will have to do on a Saturday - I prefer Saturdays anyhow.

I do have reservations, no buddy yet, and I'm really working on making it at least for the first dive. I'll post here if it turns out I can't do this and will, in that case, be happy to pass off my reservation to someone who can use it.
