I was refering to the toothpaste. You might want to defog your screen, though.

In terms of your reference, you are looking at the left side of a right handed shooter in a 2 meg picture. On top of that, she doesn't need no stinking gun- you ought to see her with a blade, Sparky. Feel free to apply, but LE and Military only. BYO Toothpaste.

If one is pointing a firearm at another person (especially since this was staged for a photo shoot only) it is standard operating procedure and good common sense not to have one's finger on the trigger.

It's more of an element of staging. The transition of holstered weapon to discharging it. Several stages if and as a situation devolves. For the picture, her trigger finger is (no doubt in my mind) on the "locator button" (aka: the takedown pin), just out of sight and extended along the righ side of the weapon. She's no new kid.

Back to defogging....

Honestly folks, gel toothpaste. A smoosh before every dive, sit there rubbing it with your fingers. Rise well just before dive, fresh water if you have it.

Defog is pure hooey. Toothpaste. Works every time. Even on my Hydro-Optix, the mask that most have fogging problems with.

Oh, did I mention that you might want to try a little Gel Toothpaste?

My 'puter screen is not foggy. A bit dusty perhaps.

I read the second post about the actual location of her trigger finger. That's more better.

Knives tend to be close up and personal ... unless she wants to risk throwing it. I hope she'd be carrying a gun and and knife to use as the situation dictated.

As for applying ... been there, done that in a previous "life".

I like the J&J because I can use it to:

1: Act as a defog for my mask
2: Wash my wetsuit after a dive (especially the booties !!! YucK)
3: Use a small bit to wash and rinse the inside of my BC
4: Wash what little hair I have left
5: Use in lieu of regular soap if necessary

and most of all

6: It's the greatest thing since sliced bread for donning and doffing my dry suit (latex seals)
Smear a little bit on the inside of each cuff before donning and your hands just zip through the openings.
You can also use a little bit on your hands to help in doffing the dry suit. Apply a little bit to your hands and it helps the seals slide off.

Just one word of caution in case someone has one. When I bought my SeaVision mask (with color correction) I was warned against using toothpaste for cleaning, and against the 500psi for defog. It came with a bottle of defog, which I was told to use to clean and since then I've used J&J as well the defog that came with it with great results!

For my other mask I use the 500psi (since I had it since I bought the mask)

Toothpaste on a new mask and about twice a year there after. All other times its spit before a dive and I never have any problems.
All these other solutions just seem a waste of time money and space.
Whats wrong with spit?
