forecast as of today: .SAT...NW WINDS 20 TO 30 KT. WIND WAVES 4 TO 7 FT.
W SWELL 12 TO 14 FT. CHANCE OF SHOWERS.

If it does turn out to be a west swell, it should be pretty nice as Pt Lobos will be pretty protected. As I recall, my last dive there with a west swell looked like this:

If the tide has receded down to where the end of the ramp drops off, exiting can be quite challenging, even if it's calm.
