+1 on the Lycra socks - biggest benefit I found was getting my boots off. They seem to stop the vacuum seal effect.
 
Yes, ditto all the +1s on the lycra socks! Makes the legs come out of the suit much easier as well as the feet out of the boots.
 
+1 for the Lycra socks as well. My feet slides in wet suit easier, and makes it super easy to put on /off boots.
