Okay, so far, we have that Site Support and the Surface Interval do not have share links.

What other forums / threads have the "Share" links disabled?

Are there forums / threads that have the "Like" disabled?

Is it only the "First Post in a Thread" that has the "Like" reflected on the FB Profile page, or are there other places that a "Like" will reflect on your FB page?

Yes... Because its in the surface interval.

We also don't let google index the surface interval, since we don't want people searching for SI topics and ending up on SB to find that people here aren't talking about scuba diving.

Actually, if you go look at the first post in LF (in surface interval) , you can still share it to FB.

Note: Not asking for any changes or fussing about it.. Just pointing out that stuff in Surface Interval is "shareable" is all in regards to the above.

Per Howards post, any forum that require you to be a member of and logged in to view should have disabled links. SI. Pub, etc.

Share is disabled in site support (as it has been since its original installation) because it's not a publicly viewable forum. You must be a registered member (and logged in) to view site support... therefore you can't share posts in this forum.

What's the difference? I can do a screen capture of a post and put it on photobucket. I can post a link on twitter... Do you have an expectation of privacy for posts made in a public forum?

ScubaBoard is not a private forum. It is in fact viewed by more than 20,000 people daily. ScubaBoard is in the top 30,000 websites in the world. What kind of privacy do you expect? Our privacy policy protects your personal information that you've entered into your profile, like your email address. Posts made on a public forum are in fact public.

Ok... so they aren't really "disabled" like you said before, but more of you have to be a member to see what's on the clickable "Shared link" in Facebook.
