How about getting together for dinner on the 26th at Chiefs place “El Moro”? Would Dan G+1 and Mediumone and wife be able to go? (Newgentry)Robert+2 also? + any other Scubaboarders.

Going to do a side trip up to Katmai National Park to salmon fish with the bears at Brooks falls and then should head down around the 20th till the 27th. Diving with 3P, of course. Wouldn't mind going by El Moro and seeing Ray on the 26th, haven't seen him since Monday last week.

Will be down for the first time in six years (kids finally got certified) with my family the 25th - 30th, staying and diving with Blue Angel.

This sounds fun and we'd love to join up, though it is going to be hard to commit to a time since we arrive in the afternoon and will be dropping gear at the shop and doing a run to Mega. If the two of you make a plan, let me know and we'll do our best to get there.

Hi All! I'm a solo female traveler visiting Cozumel for the first time from July 4-8. This forum has been SUPER helpful. I am booked with Tres Pelicanos (Jeanie and Steve are awesome) and staying at Casa Mexicana. Any additional information/tips are welcome.

Welcome Ankita! Well with Casa Mexicana and Tres Pelicanos you are off to a good start -- so convenient to have breakfast at Casa Mexicana and then just a short walk to the 3Ps dive shop.

We (me, my 16 year old son who dives, and my non-diving wife and 18 year old daughter) will be in Cozumel that week too. Though we love 3Ps, we'll be diving with Pepe Scuba just because it is within walking distance to the condo we are renting north of town.

For diving I'd highly recommend doing a night dive if you haven't already planned on one, as we always enjoy those a lot in Cozumel. Other than that, one thing I'd recommend is to be sure to see some of the other parts of the island as time allows -- rent an old VW beetle convertible (or something else if you don't drive stick-shift) from Rentadora Isis and drive around the whole island one afternoon -- perhaps combine that with a trip to the Punta Sur ecology park or to the town of Mayan ruins at San Gervasio or if time allows do both (and avoid the tourist trap around the tiny, garage-sized ruin at El Cedral). Lots of information on restaurants in this Cozumel forum (so many good ones, and we all have our favorites), and I'm happy to answer any questions. I'm sure you are going to have a great trip!
