AARRGGH Would somebody tell me where it is written that DIR divers have to buy everything in black?

:rofl3:Good point - I've seem many guys - especially in tech shops - eyeing my gear with envy - don't think they would do the same if the jet fins were pink .

They're jealous cause you look good in the water, it's not the gear the envy.

Humm, tough decisions - Coron wrecks or Sumatra! :D

Both? That'll make all your stateside friends jealous!

Nope, no requirement to buy everything black.

If I find a good deal an a red drysuit, I'd convert.

That said, Kathy does look slick in her set-up.

:rofl3:Thanks Don - but not good enough yet  - Have serious trim envy now after diving with all these awesome diver like yourself and Alex Floro here in the PI!!!

You read my mind! - jumped a stand by flight & in Coron now. Booked 8 dives in the next 2.5 days - then its back to Anilao with the PI GUE gang for the weekend & on to Sumatra & Indo next Wednesday!! Jealous yet :D!

Wrecks... magic word for me, I vote for Caron wrecks... :D

Ah now if only I could penetrate. Maybe someday. The PI GUE guys just gave me my first test run with doubles in 20ft water . It was fun! But first things first - the dives will still be awesome!

If it makes you feel less frustrated - Shhh. I have plenty of blue mixed into the wetsuit getup (that the pic doesn't show) & my drysuit is quite pretty - tourquoise/black - but red/pink just aint my thing.

Thanks Don - ergh ah you had just a little bit to do with it !

Now off to some island with no internet & lots of waiting untold adventure!

Yeah, photographers hate me. The rest of the gear being black doesn't affect pictures/ video much. But, an all black suit makes it almost impossible to get good quality stuff. Look at all of the WKPP video stuff. While red/black used to be the standard DUI color, many of the guys in those videos are wearing custom suits and could choose black but still went with color for video.

Screw that, I went with color so I can be seen more easily by boats!

I still couldn't get myself to go with day-glo orange though.

Great suggestion. What a day! Now I see instant application for so many of your fine tuned skills and drills. Getting even more excited to start formal DIR training!

Can only imagine what you all do in those little dark passages leading into somewhere.

My wetsuit was 65% off, good quality and was the best fit I could find.

Then I just couldn't resist the chance to buy into year round local No Cal diving - a great fitting 2 year old DUI drysuit used less than 20 times and in perfect shape that came with a DUI undergarmet, boots, hood and a pile of weights for $600

It was just a bonus that the colors werent pink or day glo orange :D.

... so what's wrong with a pink drysuit? :D
