Wendy once bubbled...
I wear a 3mm farmer john w/ a 3mm long sleeve shorty over it, and no hood. I hate wearing hoods. And I don't wear gloves, but that's a cavern/cave thing.

I don't wear a hood or gloves even here, so that isn't a problem or concern. I have a 3mm suit that I got from a friend that would work, but is kind of goofy looking. A Stearns teal green with black accents. Not sure I want to wear it.....

You know rule #6

Change my status from maybe to Yes.:D
Have we settled on a time??
Maybe we should plan lunch, they have grills.

I think were shooting for 8:30am - 9am, but I'm just kinda along for the dive. Wendy's the brains behind this adventure!! She will probably chime in here in a bit. I think she was diving this weekend.

FWIW, I'd like to get in three dives that day, since its a new place for me and I've got some of the best guides available :) Don't have to be back until about 7:30pm that evening.

I was thinking of leaving the Orlando area @ 7:30am and getting to Ginnie around 9am. Does that sound good for everyone? I hate having to be the brains behind a plan. :) I hadn't thought about lunch plans, but maybe a picnic would be a good idea and I thought maybe before we leave high springs that evening we can go to that little diner they got, what's it called...something about a pink flamingo.

I also have a 1.5 hour drive so 9:00 is good for me.

I will bring a couple of hamburgers per person if other people will put together all the other "stuff" we would need for lunch.

Personally I will probably only dive 2 tanks and head home in the early afternoon.

Looking forward to hearing all about the flamingo thing. I'm sure there is a REAL interesting story there.

Going:

NetDoc
Harleydiver

Sounds great to me. Since HarleyDiver has offered to cook  the least the rest of us can do is come up with the fixin's. Anyone like New Mexico green chili on their burger? Hmmm, I'd be happy to bring some I roasted and peeled myself for the occasion. Good stuff!!
You fence sitters better tally up now or you won't get the grub :)

My only constraint is being back in Orlando by about 7:30 -8:00pm since the family has a dinner reservation at 8:30pm. Can't miss that, (if I want to keep diving)!!

Another question for all you "regulars", is there a place to stow the gear during dives or is it normal just to leave it?

What gear are you needing to stow, like personal stuff, wallets, etc? That stuff all stay in your car. Actually everything goes in your car. and when you are eating/grilling out, you just put your gear on the picnic tables where you are eating.

OK, someone mentioned chili peppers, so that means I'm in! :D

I've (Finally) caught up with Wendy (my fault...), so I'll be there, shaking in my boots, of course....make that fins. ;) To warn ahead of time, I'll need a little advice on weighting, since it'll be my first fresh water dive ever...

Someone (please) give me orders what to bring for food; my kitchen is the ultimate bachelor pad statement, so it has to come directly from the grocery store.......

And Wendy, I think you are officially in charge as I have no idea where I'm going either!
