Ack!

And miss the chance to see me try and hit Little Devil again? That would be.....priceless :D.

I dove Ginnie and all the caverns this past weekend. HarleyDiver is correct in the price, they have gone up $2 to $27.00 per diver. Even though there has been a lot of springs flooding down there, Ginnie is perfectly fine as normal. 60-70' viz. The outflow in Devil's Ear was a little more forceful this time but still no biggy, if anyone is interested. I did 5 dives there saturday (talk about pooped). We did the traditional nite dive and went down to the grate and cut glow sticks to feel the effects of "hyperspace", always an awesome experience.

Just some notes from diving it this past weekend.

We were hoping the flooding wasn't going to be a problem.

I have another question for all you regular Ginnie divers:
What thickness wetsuit is recommened for the 72° water? I dive with a 5mm at our local spot which is about 62° or so and am fine. I'm a bit concerned that the 5mm will be to hot at Ginnie.

What do you all think?

I used a Bare Velocity 3/2 on Saturday, that is what I have always dove with at Ginnie. I did 5 dives with it, and was fine. But thats me, I have friends that it takes a 5mm, but that would be the max I would go.

Hope this helps

I wore a 3mm 2-piece with a hood, and was fine (March). Now that the temps are in the 90's here, I am not sure if that will be too warm, but I know that won't change the water temp.

I wear a 3mm farmer john w/ a 3mm long sleeve shorty over it, and no hood. I hate wearing hoods. And I don't wear gloves, but that's a cavern/cave thing.
