Actually, I have one of those handy handy lights that attaches to your mask....does that make me "in" with the cavern/cave crowd?!!? :boings: (I know, I know, j/k....)

I think Jack (detroit diver) has a good story about a DM and one of those lights during a cave/cavern dive, if I remember correctly.

I have had similar experiences.

I'm still hoping I can join you guys...but if I can't I hope you have fun.

To put everyone's fears to rest, I don't and have never used it on my mask; I just liked that it was very small to use as a backup,that fit in my pocket. Better?

You know, I have one of those lights too (see attached pic). After being blinded once at Blue Grotto by a girl going down the descent line whilst I was trying to do an AOW exercise, I vowed never to put it on my mask. It does make a nice backup light, though.

Ok, I was feeling positive about trying this out til you said "completely dark"......as a point of reference, I keep a nightlight in my bedroom cause I hate the dark. EEEEEKK!

Don't worry, my light is super bright and could easliy blind someone. You'll be fine. Its bright, it like looking at the sun.
