Need to dye or change the colour on one part of my wetsuit.
Anyone know the best wat to do it?
Some people say syes dun work.
Some recommended simply using a marker.
Can coffee/tea stain the wetsuit?

Can I ask what color you are changing from?

Oh, and I'd like to know WHY as well!

:D

Maybe he wants to paint it gray, like Mike Nelson.

Buy a new suit with the desired color scheme.

Or perhaps Jagger and Richards were his inspiration:

"I see a wetsuit and I want to paint it black..."

This is a first for me. I thought that I had been asked about every conceivable question that there is. Here is what I think that you couold do. Since the material that is bonded to the neoprene is nylon, I would think that you could use the RIT dye that you buy in the grocery store. Please note that I've never done this and will not be responsible for the outcome of your suit. As long as you really don''t care that much about the outcome of your suit, you might just want to give it a try.

Good luck to you!!

Wanna change blue to black..
Cos they dun carry the all black suits anymore.. and I really do not like blue..

I don't know about consumer dyes like RIT... whenever I've tried them in the past, the colour never came out as dark as I would have liked -- especially on a synthetic fabric.

I wanted to blacken/darken the logos on my 1mm O'Neill wetsuit so I used Feibing's (sp?) black leather dye. It worked quite well! The logos weren't fabric though -- some sort of commercial ink/paint. But when I tried using the leather dye on that godawful gold stitching on my OxyCheq wing, it didn't quite work.

Good luck to you, meimei. Please post your experiences.
