Does anyone know if there is anywhere on the web I can get an idiots guide to building your own canister light? I'm not too technologically minded so a set of instructions that are written down like a recipe would be great. i.e.
Materials;
x kind of bulb or torch, x amount of y kind of wiring and so on.

Assembly;
Put part x into part y and so on.

Basically like a Meccano kit that I need to hunt down the parts myself.
Thanks folks
Peter

I have on occassion seen plans for a DIY canister light for sale on E-bay.

Some of those plans might have been mine. I sold them on Ebay for a while.

You can check out this link I started DIY Equipment or any number of other threads on home built canister lights in the DIY section of the board. There is a lot of information posted there as well as pictures of peoples finished projects.

There is also a book by Airspeed Press called the Dive Light Companion that people say is very good.

I still have the plans and have been giving them to people on the board if they wanted them. If you're interested let me know and I can possibly email them to you.
