Not one I owned as I do basic maintenance (rinsing) after a dive. Now I haven't been diving the same reg for decades, but there are people here who have their old non-titanium ScubaPro regs for 30, 40 years, so I don't see that as being an issue. No but the age of a regulator has little to do with it, I have a mk5/air 1 that are mint, close to 50 years old not used much and fresh water. I’ve seem plenty of blue/green Regs over the years some from neglect and some from poor after dive use or circumstances, I would show you examples but I just give those away when the come into my possession. Titanium would fare better in these cases, on the other hand forthe cost difference you can replace the brass reg 3 times.Not one I owned as I do basic maintenance (rinsing) after a dive. I've seen some pretty bad regs, but these were abused and not maintained. I don't think if they were titanium that they would have fared much better. You have to take care of your stuff.
Common sense shouldn't be abandoned in purchasing decisions.

When you switched to titanium, did you say "not carrying that extra .8 lbs is a relief!"?carrying a regulator while traveling has been, for me, the best place for titanium, now that I’m elderly I no longer carry everything on my person so it’s no longer a factor for me.
Ok, but Deep 6 regs are not overpriced.your deep 6 first stage has a special plating, better than chrome they say (probably right) to help prevent corrosion.
We agree here.I do think titanium is over priced but I feel that way about most of the brass Regs too.

2. That's cheating! If you make your entire kit lighter, it goes beyond just a reg.2. Yes as it was an overall plan, everything was light weight.
