TeddyDiver:
Smaller hard case with all the "fragile" inside, and tossed in a big soft case with fins, WS, BC (no worries) and other soft or unbreakable stuff..

Ah, the "case within a case" trick. I did that a few times back when baggage limits were more expansive, sticking a Pelican camera case inside a larger Travelpro-style bag so I could get more out of the two-bag limit (i.e. pack clothes around the camera case) and keep the expensive-looking Pelican away from prying eyes. But it never dawned on me to do this for smaller breakable stuff inside a duffel, even though I've always done it with our masks.

I don't need a heavy Pelican for the lights and other little breakables, just something rigid and shoebox-sized where I can pack them in tight with bubble wrap and/or used socks and I'm sure I can find something suitable along the lines of Rubbermaid or Tupperware at the drug store or else raid the kitchen to see if I can "borrow" a likely candidate that the s/o will hopefully never miss.

Thanks!
