With our without your dive flag? I grew up in South Fl and they don't take kindly to inlet divers..... I have seen a kayak'er that paddled over to the 2nd or 3rd piling for the Bridge and he was standing on top of it fishing... Looked like a good spot.. but if you could be down below....
IS there really an Alabama spearing license? they will regulate ANYTHING!!!!

Yes, there's an AL spearfishing license, its cheap though.

Yes, there is. I had to buy one two years ago. The big bummer was that the fishing liscense is available online. The spearing wasn't. I don't know if it is now or not.

To keep in the good graces of the Scuba Board I got to say use a Dive Flag. With all respect to those who swear by them I feel there are places where they can be more harmful than helpful. My advice to you would be as soon as possible tie it off to a Pylon some of them kids on them wave runners have little respect.

It sound like you are into spearing were going to have to get together some this summer, Not to many locals here are into it much , Pensacola is the closest I can find where groups get together to have a good time, and to tell their fish tails. It would be cool if more people over this way was interested they would be a lot of friendly competition going on..

You can pick up your licenses out at the fishery just north of the bridge out by the Airport Alabama is the only State that welcome you with a handshake all the while reaching for you back pocket at the same time for your wallet

I never found a shortage of spearo's in AL, suprised to hear that Tom?

I hate to sound like a pud but in Alabama it is a state law to use a dive flag when scuba diving. So I would use one. But like Tom said you can tie it to a pylon.........

Ever try and fill a boat with the local Spear o's even just splitting the cost of gas? advertise that same deal over around MBT and you have to beat them off with a stick
