Those are are interested in doing the boat dive P.M. me. will see if we can get enough people to arrange the charter.. daves website calendar lists that day for only 60 bucks...

So,
For the Orca Bait dive then we are doing a boat dive?
I will see if I can afford it and then go from there. Is this open to anyone? I noticed that this is posted on other boards and other threads. No worries to me.
Snowbear, are you in for this?
Anyone else?
K

Sure, I'm in... I'll just need to know the details. Do we pay when we get to the boat, or do I need to call the operator with a CC #?

I noticed they said they provide tanks and air. I would rather bring tanks with Nitrox, if that's OK?

I don't see why it can't be open to anyone who's interested, though I have no idea how many divers the boat can accomodate. It also sounds like a higher current day, so maybe experience level could be an issue? I have no idea.

I would tend to go with Bob's suggestions above for dive sites, if the operator will take us there? But that's 'cause I know that Bob knows where to go and would not mislead us as to his recommendations ;)

I will be emailing a few non-SB members myself to invite them to join us :D

It just so happened that there was an opening for a boat dive on the fourth.. And yes I did post on another board about the boat dive. only to to try and fill the boat. What I would like to do is meet some of the members on this board. If more people would rather do orca bait shore dive count me in..

The charter does accept ccs the boat also has tanks and onboard air fills I usually bring my own tank unless you like diving hp80s.. I like my 119 lots o bottem time. the dive sites that Bob suggested might be a little tough that day with the exchange but hopefully the vis should be good. Daves boat i believe 40somthingft hold 16 divers most of the boat is covered and has a sundeck or raindeck depending on the weather.
I will give him a call inthe morn to confirm charter. I talked to him this week and I wanted to get an idea who was interested. My wife and I will be going and mabey one or two from lds. Keep in mind that there will be current that day we will be diving in the middle of the xchange good thing for live boat pick ups:D

Sounds like fun! The more the merrier and I would love to meet some of the people from these boards. I know they have a very nice boat and great accomodations for divers, plus Dave and his crew are great and a lot of fun.
Count me in, just let me know what time to be at the boat and how to pay.
Thanks for setting this up. I know it will be a great time.

Ok I have confirmed the boat for the 4th. meet at the dock at 9 am departure shortly after. I am going to be at the rest area at at smokey point at 8am if anyone wants to follow me out to anacortes. I drive a 2005 chev 3/4ton pu that is dark grey (scuba tanks should be a dead giveaway) I will be parked on the on ramp entering the freeway from the rest stop. Or you can get directions from www.deepseacruise.com
If we can get 10 or more people we will have a drawing for a free spot!!!

CCs accepted on the boat should be a good time looking foward to meeting some of you. any questions you can call me at 360/691/3984...
