Dredging up an old thread...

I just got the Diving Concepts drysuit ring system installed onto my DUI CLX450 and it was a major PITA. I farted around with it for about 45 minutes with the DC instuction page, then came here to do some research and then it took me about an hour and a half... Best thing was working to get the seam of the laminate to the edge of the ring and slipping on the o-rings. But with one hand strangleholding the sleeve so that the ring didn't get pushed back by the latex to the seam and the other putting on the o-ring, I ended up with a slightly crooked installation (about 2 degrees off perpendicular on one sleeve, and 5 degrees on the dump arm), but I wasn't about to re-do it...

Jsut thought i would up date you on what DUI did for me. After reading that horror story thread about DANs and BARE i felt like i should give DUI some due credit.

If you read back in this thread i broke my Exhaust valve on my DUI clx450 trying to make the installation of dry gloves easier. I took it to a SD based dive shop ( Aqua Tech ) and told them to remove the existing valve and put a new one in, and charge me. I broke the Valve, i was willing to pay for a new one, but i was unable to remove the existing one to put the new one in. Aqua tech was going remove it and install a new one for me at my cost. I didnt mind paying, i broke it.

Aqua tech drove it over to DUI and DUI fixed it on the spot, no charge.

So i am very happy with DUI they have excelent customer service. I am also very pleased with Aqua Tech for taking the time to take my suit over to DUI. They could have removed the valve and charged me for the new one, which i was ready to do.

I was told initially that DUI wouldnt cover it, why they changed there minds i dont know.

DUI came through for me
Andy
