...and four hands, makes the job a lot easier!! :) :)

Boy, isn't that the truth, Jeff! For the glove side attachment, a little help makes all the difference.

One tip, to reduce stress on the latex as you're positioning the suit-docking ring, I recommend using some talc to help with friction. It lets you slide the ring right into place and with latex, the less stress, the better.

I could not get the ring back through the sleeve of my DR 905 when I put the rings on so I went with the no seal method. I am going to pick up a set of the seals that Bluepointe sells. They go onto the rings before the suit wrist seal goes over the ring. The website gives a much better description. The cost of the seals is well worth the time and hair saved.

HOW THE heck do you get the Ring back through.

I turned the sleave inside out

Inserted the Ring

Installed the large O ring

Now i need to turn the suit sleave back, the ring just dont want to go back through now.

Did i do this wrong ? I dont see how the sleave can be turned inside out again with the ring installed. Tell me im not going crazy, but its like the square peg in the round hole, it wont go back through.

Any tips ?

help me while i still have a full head of hair pls.

Andy

and i havent even tried the sleave with the forearm dump yet :(

Fun isnt it :D My drysuit has absolutely zero extra room when i push the ring back through. My left sleeve must be slightly smaller cause its a real bear to push back through. As mentioned before try using some talc powder to ease some of the friction of pushing it back through.

It might even be possible that your sleeves are two narrow and wont be able to push them back through. In that case you would have to use them without the wrist seal.I talked to Chris at COVCI he has never used them with a wrist seal and has had no problems unless your glove gets a hole.:D

Cant be done on my suit. I took a closer look and i can see there is no way the sleave can be turned right side out with the ring installed.

Unless someone has a Clx450 and pictures of these rings on there i say, not possible.

By any chance will the ring fit through the sleeve with nothing attached to it.You know if the ring by itself wont fit through the end of the sleeve it definitely isnt going to fit with the seal attached to the ring.If you notice on the DC website they install it on a neoprene suit that has some give unlike trilam.

I had a bear of a time with my wife's size Small suit and tiny wrist openings, but I was able to get the ring back through. You can do it! :)

Some tips, if you want to try it again:
1. Place the cuff ring as deep in the wrist seal as is feasible before locking the first o-ring on. That is, place the ring close to the wrist opening. The talc helps quite a bit in getting this part done, and the purpose of this is to give yourself some working room for getting the ring back through.
2. Get the ring as perpendicular to the sleeve as possible before working the ring and sleeve back rightside-in.
3. Use a rolling motion once you've got the ring perpendicular enough. Don't push it through, roll it through.

I hope this helps, and remember, once it's done, it's worth it. :thumb:
